BART has resumed its train service between the Richmond and Downtown Berkeley stations after a fatal crash involving a person on the tracks near the North Berkeley station Friday morning, according to transit officials. The collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. and prompted the closure of train service between the two stations, BART spokesperson Michelle Robertson said.
BART had suspended its Red Line train service between Richmond and Millbrae stations after the medical emergency was reported around 6:40 a.m. By about 9:15 a.m., regular service had resumed on all lines, though with residual delays in all directions, Robertson said.
