Imagine riding in a Waymo, but at 150 mph. That's what some Bay Area students are working toward on some of America's best-known racetracks.

The cars with no drivers are racing at speeds up to 155 mph, with some being tested at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas. Some of the students testing the cars are from the University of California, Berkeley.
