BERKELEY-BORN JULIA KERNS LEADS TEAM USA TO 5TH IN TEAM SPRINT FREE

Berkeley-born skier Julia Kern and teammate Jessie Diggins fell short in the women’s team sprint free Wednesday at the 2026 Milan Cortina Games. Sweden won gold with a finish time of 20:29.99, followed by Switzerland for silver and Germany for bronze. 

Team USA's cross-country skiers finished fifth, with a total time of 20:41.53, 11.54 seconds behind the gold medalists.
