Caltrans completed its second weekend closure along 19th Avenue several hours ahead of schedule, reopening lanes early Monday morning. Crews finished repaving work along three southbound lanes at 19th Avenue and Lincoln Way around 1:30 a.m., about three and a half hours earlier than expected.
The work is part of an ongoing repaving project stretching southbound from Lincoln Way to Sloat Boulevard. This marks the second of three planned weekend closures. Caltrans is now preparing for the third and final closure, scheduled for Memorial Day weekend. During that time, 19th Avenue will be closed in both directions between Sloat and Holloway avenues, near Stonestown and San Francisco State University.
