CNG WILL COST RS 2.5 KG LESS IN DELHI IN FIRST CUT THIS YEAR

Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) announced a significant reduction in the prices of compressed natural gas (CNG) on Wednesday, marking the first decrease in 11 months. The price of CNG will be reduced by Rs 2.50 per kg, or 3%, reflecting the decline in global prices of natural gas.

Effective from Thursday, the new CNG price in Delhi will be Rs 74.09 per kg, down from Rs 76.59 previously. Similarly, in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad, the price will be Rs 78.70 per kg, compared to Rs 81.20 earlier. In Gurugram, consumers will pay Rs 80.12 per kg, down from Rs 82.62. This reduction in prices follows a similar cut by Mahanagar Gas Ltd, which serves Mumbai, indicating a trend in response to the softening of spot gas prices in the global market. Lower CNG prices are expected to translate into reduced transportation costs for essential goods and lower fares for buses, taxis, and three-wheelers, benefiting consumers and businesses alike.
