CONCORD POLICE ALERT RESIDENTS AMID SPIKE IN VEHICLE THEFTS

Police in Concord are warning residents to be on alert after a recent increase in residential burglaries, vehicle break-ins and attempted vehicle thefts across the city.

The Concord Police Department sent out a community alert on Monday, saying thieves have recently targeted Lexus, Honda and Acura vehicles, as well as pickup trucks, work trucks and contractor vehicles. Tools and construction equipment left inside vehicles have also been frequent targets, according to police.
