DE'ANTHONY MELTON AND WARRIORS REPORTEDLY AGREE TO NEW TWO-YEAR AND $11M CONTRACT

De'Anthony Melton is running it back with the Warriors. After opting out of his $3.45 million player option for the 2026-27 season and dipping his toe into NBA free agency, Melton and Golden State have agreed to a two-year, $11 million contract, ESPN's Shams Charania reported Wednesday, citing sources.

Coming off ACL surgery in December 2024, Melton last October signed a two-year contract worth $6.5 million to return to the Warriors and made $3.1 million during the 2025-26 campaign. While it appeared obvious he vastly would outplay the money included in his player option for 2026-27, his production started to slump toward the end of the season, when Steph Curry was out and Melton had to fight through injuries himself to try and fill the scoring void.
