DELHI MINISTER GOPAL RAI LAUNCHES GREEN WAR ROOM
Environment minister Gopal Rai on Tuesday launched a 'green war room' at the Delhi Secretariat. A 17-member team will operate from this war room to deal with air pollution during the winter season. Rai said, "To give a more hands-on approach and enable 24x7 monitoring of all our efforts we are starting the green war room from Tuesday."
Environmental scientist Nandita Moitra has been appointed in-charge of the green war room. The 17-member team will work on the complaints received from the Green Delhi App and ensure implementation of the same in sync with other departments. "The members of this war room will work to communicate and monitor all the complaints received on the Green Delhi app to the concerned departments. All the complaints received on the app are jointly taken by all 28 departments. Nodal officers have been appointed in every department to operate this App," said Rai.
