DTU IMPLEMENTS BIOMETRIC ATTENDANCE FOR PHD FELLOWSHIP ELIGIBILITY

Starting from 2025 academic session, PhD students at Delhi Technological University (DTU) will be required to register their attendance through a biometric system. This step will directly impact their eligibility for fellowship benefits.

In a notification issued by the university, attendance was made a prerequisite for fellowship claims. "Students must mark their presence daily on the biometric system portal between 9.30 am and 11 am. Those arriving late will not be marked present. The university has also set maximum weekly working hours and time limits, making compliance essential for receiving the full month's fellowship," said an official.
