A fire at a PG&E substation in Saratoga has left about 21,000 customers in the South Bay without power Wednesday morning, according to the utility.
The fire occurred at about 8:25 a.m. and has since been contained. A separate PG&E substation fire in San Francisco last weekend left nearly a third of the utility's customers in the city without power at the peak of the outage Saturday, and some customers did not have power restored until early Tuesday.
