FORD'S US AUTO SALES RISE 10.5% IN FEBRUARY ON SUV, HYBRID DEMAND
Ford Motor Co announced a notable increase in U.S. sales for February, with a 10.5% rise driven by strong demand for various vehicle segments including family crossover SUVs, pickup trucks, and hybrid vehicles.
Sales of Ford's hybrid vehicles experienced particularly robust growth, surging by 32% to reach 12,045 units compared to the same period last year. This increase was supported by the popularity of electrified versions of the Maverick compact truck and Escape crossover. These sales figures reflect continued consumer interest in fuel-efficient and versatile vehicles, contributing to Ford's positive performance in the U.S. automotive market for the month of February.
