FORMER COWBOYS RB TONY POLLARD AGREES TO 3-YEAR DEAL WITH TITANS
Tony Pollard, a running back with the Dallas Cowboys since 2019, is set to join the Tennessee Titans on a three-year, $24 million deal. Pollard, initially drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, served as the backup to Ezekiel Elliott during his time in Dallas.
In 2022, Pollard had a breakout season, earning a Pro Bowl selection by rushing for 1,007 yards and nine touchdowns, in addition to three receiving touchdowns. However, despite being designated as the RB1 for the Cowboys in 2023 after Elliott's departure in free agency, Pollard experienced a slight dip in performance, recording fewer rushing yards and touchdowns despite receiving more carries compared to the previous season. The move to the Titans presents Pollard with an opportunity to step into a significant role and contribute to their offense as they look to bolster their running game.
