GARBAGE WORKERS SOLIDARITY STRIKE CONTINUES

Negotiations between striking garbage workers and their employer are set to start back up on Monday.  Even if Republic Services makes a deal with the union, it will be at least a few days before the striking workers could get back on the job.

That means a few more days of Bay Area trash collectors striking in solidarity with their counterparts at a Manteca landfill. Local workers are striking in solidarity with their counterparts at a Manteca landfill who say Republic Services hasn’t been willing to give them the pay raises or benefits they're asking for.
