General Motors (GM) is relocating its headquarters to a new location deeper into downtown Detroit after more than two decades at the Renaissance Center. The Michigan automaker will now establish its global headquarters just a few blocks away from the RenCen, in a modern new high-rise building named Hudson’s, which is set to become the second-tallest skyscraper in Detroit.

GM maintains its position as the sole member of the Detroit Three automakers to have its headquarters situated in the Motor City. Ford Motor's home base is nearby in Dearborn, Michigan, while Chrysler parent company Stellantis has its primary North American office in Auburn Hills, Michigan, approximately 30 miles outside of Detroit.
