I-280 LANES REOPEN IN DALY CITY AFTER CAR FIRE

All lanes reopened following a fiery crash involving a Tesla on northbound Interstate 280 in Daly City, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP said all four lanes north of Hickey Boulevard have reopened after being closed while emergency crews monitored the scene and a tow truck worked to remove the vehicle.

The crash was reported around 6:40 a.m. on northbound I-280 just north of Hickey Boulevard. Authorities said a Tesla Model Y overturned and caught fire, prompting the closure of all northbound lanes and the Hickey onramp due to heavy smoke and flames.
