Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) has given its in-principle nod to BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) to set up four grid-scale battery energy storage systems across south and southwest Delhi to ensure uninterrupted power supply during peak demand hours.

The project will add a combined storage capacity of 55.5 MW at grid locations in Malviya Nagar, Matiala, Dwarka and Goyla Khurd.
