The 49ers added much-needed depth to the wide receivers room on Monday. San Francisco agreed to a one-year contract with former New England Patriots wideout Kendrick Bourne, ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported, citing Bourne's agents at Disruptive Sports.
As Schefter reported, Bourne's contract with the 49ers has a maximum value of $5 million. Bourne, according to Schefter, has recovered from a foot sprain he sustained this summer and could be ready to play in San Francisco's Week 2 game against the New Orleans Saints.
