MASSIVE FIRE DESTROYS MEDICAL SUPPLY WAREHOUSE, SPARKS EVACUTIONS IN TRACY

A medical supply warehouse was destroyed after it went up in flames and prompted evacuations of neighboring buildings Thursday afternoon in Tracy.

The massive blaze, which was one of several fires reported on the 5700 block of Promotory Parkway in the San Joaquin County city, could be seen from across the Bay Area region. Firefighters pointed to water supply challenges and weather conditions as the reason the blaze spread quickly and engulfed the approximately 1 million-square-foot facility.
