NEW JERSEY AWARDED 2026 WORLD CUP FINAL, MEXICO GETS OPENER

FIFA, the governing body of world soccer, announced on Sunday that the final match of the 2026 World Cup will take place in New Jersey at MetLife Stadium, the home venue of the National Football League's New York Giants and New York Jets.

The entire schedule for the global soccer showcase, which includes 48 teams, has been unveiled. The tournament, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will conclude on July 19 with the final match at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
