Teachers in San Francisco announced they will go on strike on Monday if the union and district are unable to reach an agreement for a new contract.

Negotiations continued Thursday evening between San Francisco Unified School District leaders and the district's teachers' union. However, Thursday night, negotiators went home for the night after hours of talking, and a union representative said educators were "disappointed" with several main areas of what the district presented.
