For people who work for the city of San Jose, it's likely hard to actually afford to live in San Jose. The city wants to change that.
A new program that launched this week aims to provide city employees with subsidized rent at a building in downtown. The Fay building in the SoFA District has close to 200 one-bedroom and two-bedroom units for city workers at below market rate.
