Warnings will start going out to San Jose motorists on Monday who commit red light violations. San Jose launched a new automated red light camera program to catch illegal light running and to address what it says is the second-highest cause of traffic deaths in the city.
At the beginning of October, the city designated four areas to received red light cameras: Monterey Road and Branham Lane going southbound, Leight and Parkmoor avenues going southbound, Keyes and South Third streets going westbound, and South Bascom and Camden avenues going north.
