SHARKS' PHILIPP KURASHEV SCORES SWITZERLAND'S FIRST GOAL VS. ITALY

Sharks winger Philipp Kurashev tallied a goal Tuesday in Switzerland's commanding 3-0 victory over Italy in men's ice hockey at the Milan Cortina Olympics.

Early on, Switzerland took ​the lead with Kurashev’s rebound goal. The Swiss had yet ​to concede a shot when they doubled their lead on ‌the first power play of the game in the 11th minute. Kurashev's goal helped Switzerland advance to the quarterfinals while eliminating the host nation from the 2026 Olympics.
