Solex Energy, a leading player in the solar energy sector, on Monday unveiled its plan to invest Rs 8,000 crore by 2030 to develop a new cell manufacturing facility with an initial capacity of 2 gigawatts (GW).

The proposed facility will be designed to scale up to 5 GW, the company said. Its module manufacturing capacity will also be increased from 1.5 GW to 15 GW.
