STEPH WINS NBA CLUTCH PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD FOR 2023-24 SEASON

Steph Curry's illustrious career in the NBA added another accolade as he was voted the NBA's Clutch Player of the Year for the 2023-24 season. The four-time champion and two-time league MVP secured the honor over competitors like DeMar DeRozan and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Curry received 45 of the 99 first-place votes, clinching the award by a 26-point margin over DeRozan. The NBA introduced the Clutch Player of the Year award last season, recognizing the player who consistently delivers in crucial moments for their team. The recipient of the award is bestowed with the Jerry West Trophy, named after the legendary Los Angeles Lakers player renowned for his clutch performances.

Curry's win holds special significance as the award is named after Jerry West, who played a pivotal role in shaping the Golden State Warriors into championship contenders. When asked about winning an award named after West, Curry expressed gratitude and reflected on West's impact on the Warriors' legacy during an appearance on TNT's "NBA Tip-Off" pregame show.
