Taapsee Pannu to Anubhav Sinha come out in support of Jaya Bachchan's speech in Rajya Sabha

Veteran actress and MP Jaya Bachchan is getting support from several Bollywood celebs after she slammed those trying to ‘tarnish the image of the entire industry’. She took an indirect dig at Ravi Kishan, who had spoken about drug addiction in Bollywood.

While speaking on the second day of the Monsoon Session in Parliament, Jaya said, “Just because there are some people, you can't tarnish the image of the entire industry. I am ashamed that yesterday one of our members in Lok Sabha, who is from the film industry, spoke against it. It is a shame. People in the entertainment industry are being flogged by social media. People who made their names in the industry have called it a gutter. I completely disagree. I hope that govt tells such people not to use this kind of language.”

After her statement, a lot of celebs like Taapsee Pannu, Genelia D’Souza, Anubhav Sinha and others. Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha wrote, “जया जी को सादर प्रणाम भेजता हूँ। जिनको पता नहीं वो देख लें। रीढ़ की हड्डी ऐसी दिखती है।“

Taapsee also took to twitter and wrote, “For we have always stood by the initiatives, causes and awareness campaigns. It’s time for payback. Hitting the nail on its head and how ! sign yet again a woman from the industry spoke up #Respect”

Earlier, Ravi Kishan had said, “Drug addiction is in film industry too. Several people have been apprehended, NCB is doing very good work. I urge central govt to take strict action, apprehend the culprits soon, give them befitting punishment & bring an end to conspiracy of neighbouring countries.” Read More...
