VEGETATION FIRE BURNS 105 ACRES NEAR HIGHWAY 152

A vegetation fire that sparked near Highway 152 and Pacheco Pass on Tuesday evening has burned approximately 105 acres, authorities said. The blaze was reported at about 5:05 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 152 and Lovers Lane, according to the Santa Clara County Fire Department. Crews from Santa Clara County Fire and the CAL FIRE Santa Clara Unit are actively battling the flames.

No structures are currently threatened by the fire, officials said. Multiple agencies are assisting with the emergency response, including the Hollister, Gilroy and San Jose fire departments. Pacific Gas and Electric Co. and the California Highway Patrol's Coastal Division are also cooperating in the effort. The fire was reported last at 0% containment as of Tuesday night.
