As average gas prices in the nation continue to increase as the war with Iran escalates, prices at a Chevron in Menlo Park Thursday exceeded the $7 a gallon mark. The 49ers added to their offensive line Tuesday night as the NFL free agency open negotiating period continued. San Francisco and former Philadelphia Eagles interior O-lineman Brett Toth have agreed to a one-year contract. Toth served as a valuable backup for the Eagles during the 2025 NFL season, filling in for left guard Landon Dickerson and center Cam Jurgens as the two interior O-linemen battled injuries throughout the year. The 49ers will bring back a defensive player who stepped up amidst the team's rash of injuries last season. San Francisco is re-signing linebacker Garret Wallow to a one-year deal. Wallow, 27, played four games for the 49ers last season. He started both playoff games in the wake of injuries to linebackers Tatum Bethune and Dee Winters. The fourth-year linebacker proved to be key in the 49ers’ wild-card win over the Philadelphia Eagles, tallying a game-high 11 total tackles.
