CRASH AND GAS LEAK IN SUNNYVALE TRIGGERS EVACUATIONS
Several homes in Sunnyvale were evacuated Monday morning after a vehicle crashed into a residence, causing a natural gas line leak, authorities said. The crash and gas leak happened in the area of 700 Winstead Court, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety (DPS) said at about 9:45 a.m. In an update just before 11 a.m., DPS said the leak had been "mitigated" by PG&E. UC BERKELEY PROFESSOR WILL CARRY OLYMPIC TORCH BEFORE MILAN CORTINA GAMES
The Olympic torch is quickly making its way to Milan, and soon, a UC Berkeley professor will get the opportunity to carry it. The torchbearer is Matteo Garbelotto, a forestry professor at UC Berkeley, who grew up in the tiny Italian mountain town of San Martino Di Castrozza. JONATHAN KUMINGA RULED OUT OF WARRIORS' GAME VS. MAVERICKS WITH LEFT KNEE INJURY
Jonathan Kuminga's return to the Warriors' lineup lasted five-and-a-half quarters. The 23-year-old forward exited Thursday's game against the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center due to left knee soreness. Kuminga injured his knee on a fastbreak late in the second quarter.
