SUN SUNI KHABAR APRIL 22ND, 2016

With bullet trains fast becoming a popular method of travel, India is sparing no expense on their latest project. The train is to travel between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, a stretch of 315 miles that takes 7 hours currently with the fastest running train. The bullet train is expected to reduce that travel time to a meager 2 hours, traveling at 217 miles per hour. However, even more exciting than the five hour reduction of traveling, the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the train’s beneficiary, said that 13 miles of the entire trip would be underwater, from the Thane Creek to Virar. The project is expected to be completed by 2018.

OP-ED: CLIMATE CHANGE NOT AS FATAL AS YOU THINK

Climate change is perhaps the largest problem that the world faces today. Melting ice caps, rising sea levels and a depleted ozone layer have all led us to believe that we are facing a veritable doomsday. This would definitely be the case were we riddled with apathy. However, 195 countries have come together in an environmental conference and agreed to fight climate change. China, one of the largest contributors to global warming, is finally starting to clean their air. Solar energy is starting to become cheaper, and electric cars are becoming more and more ubiquitous.
