LYNCH REGRETS CLINTON MEETING

Attorney General Loretta Lynch has been at the forefront of the Clinton emails investigation for a while, and made the pledge on Friday that she would accept the conclusions drawn by federal investigators. Lynch made this announcement in the wake of her private meeting with former President Bill Clinton. The rendezvous between the two raised concerns that Lynch’s investigations into Clinton’s emails would be biased. In a statement, the U.S. Attorney General asserted that, if she were given the chance, she would not repeat the meeting. Although she claimed that it was a purely social get-together, she said that it “pained her” to see a shadow cast on the integrity of the Justice Department.
