“GURUJAM” INCREASES DELHI-HARYANA TENSIONS

The city was waterlogged and the only rain gauge was broken. Traffic was gridlocked and no one moved for 20 hours. On Thursday, at around 6 PM, Gurgaon endured a standstill like no other. The city, which is home several Fortune 500 companies, could never have predicted something as drastic as this happening. So what went wrong? Haryana officials blame Delhi for not taking appropriate measures to prevent the flooding. On the other hand, Delhi authorities say that Haryana is simply making those accusations in order to cover its own hand in the mess. The jam was cleared by around 2 PM the next day, and officers were set on duty to make sure nothing of the kind would repeat.
