49ERS SIGN UNDRAFTED FORMER TEXAS AND UTAH PUNTER TO THREE-YEAR NFL CONTRACT

The 49ers now have two punters on the roster as rookies report to training camp this weekend. San Francisco signed punter Jack Bouwmeester to a three-year contract on Saturday. In a corresponding move, the 49ers placed tight end Khalil Dinkins on the active/non-football injury list.
As for Bouwmeester, he joins veteran punter Corliss Waitman on San Francisco's roster. Interestingly, Bouwmeester reportedly agreed to a contract with the 49ers shortly after the 2026 NFL Draft concluded on April 25, but he just now officially signed the deal. The Athletic's Matt Barrows reported on May 29 that Bouwmeester, an Australia native, was awaiting approval of his work visa. Bouwmeester, 27, spent the 2025 collegiate season with the Texas Longhorns, where he appeared in 13 games and made 59 punts for 2,627 yards.
