The second day of the school year at Alum Rock Union School District was a whirlwind, capped off with a school board meeting that included many concerned community members, the announcement of an audit on the school district, and the approval of a new interim superintendent.

Dozens of parents, educators, and community members filled the school board meeting on Thursday, one by one sharing their concerns about the recent controversies involving district leadership.
