Union coal and mines minister G Kishan Reddy said on Friday that India has signed an agreement with Japan in the mineral resources sector as part of efforts to build and diversify critical mineral supply chains.
The memorandum of cooperation, signed between India’s Ministry of Mines and Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), was announced while Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Tokyo for the 15th India-Japan Annual Summit with his counterpart Shigeru Ishiba.
