PRE-TEST FOR CENSUS BEGINS IN S DELHI, WILL BE OVER ON NOV 30

A pre-test for Census 2027 has been started in Chirag Dilli village of south Delhi on a select sample size with the objective to fine-tune the digital processes for the main census, which is likely to start next year, according to Delhi govt officials.

An officer said that as part of the process, enumerators and supervisors review the progress of household listing and verify field-level documentation. The senior officers supervise the process and gather feedback on the operational and technical challenges that the teams face during data collection.
