DAY TEMPERATURES IN MUMBAI DIPS BY 5 DEGREES

The city witnessed a five degree drop in day temperatures on Wednesday as the IMD Santacruz observatory recorded maximum temperatures of 34.7 degrees which was 1.3 degrees above normal. This marked a significant contrast from the previous day when maximum temperatures had soared to 39.7 degrees Celsius and in some interior parts even breached the 40 degree mark.

Humidity levels however continued to stay on the higher side on Wednesday with the IMD Colaba and Santarcruz observatory recording relative humidity levels of 78% and 71% respectively. Many residents said that owing to the high humidity levels, the dip in temepratures could not be felt.
