DELHI GOVERNMENT EXPLORES COLLABORATION WITH IIT KANPUR FOR AI ENABLED AIR POLLUTION MANAGEMENT

Delhi govt is exploring a collaboration with IIT Kanpur to develop an AI-enabled decision support system for data-driven deduction and granular data generation, environment minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said on Sunday.

The plan aims to use sensor-based local monitoring, alongside existing air quality stations, to produce hyper-local data and dynamic source apportionment for targeted pollution control. "Delhi govt is preparing a comprehensive, year-round strategy to combat air pollution through science-backed interventions, advanced technology, and coordinated governance," Sirsa said on Sunday.
