The peak power demand of the national capital in the upcoming winter season is expected to break the previous record of 6,300 MW, according to State Load Dispatch Centre estimates.

Delhi Govt has directed power companies to ensure that the city receives uninterrupted supplies even during peak winter. It has asked them to maintain long-term power tie-ups, bank surplus power with other states, and make other arrangements.
