DU, IIT-B AND JNU LEAD INDIA'S RISE IN ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE




IIT-Bombay has achieved a significant milestone with eleven of its subjects being ranked among the top 200 in the world in the QS World Rankings, marking the highest representation for an Indian university this year. Following closely behind, Delhi University has secured positions for nine subjects on the list. India's presence in global academia is further highlighted by its inclusion in 44 out of the 55 narrow subjects, up from 38 in 2023, as well as across all five broad subject areas, underscoring its robust international standing.

Notably, IIT Bombay's Mineral and Mining Engineering has been ranked 25th globally, while its Art and Design program is placed between 51st and 100th, aligning with the esteemed National Institute of Design. Additionally, Development Studies at JNU has secured the 20th position globally. This achievement signifies a collective rise in academic excellence led by Delhi University, IIT Bombay, and JNU, showcasing India's growing prominence in the global educational landscape.
