EAGLES QB JALEN HURTS LIKELY OUT FOR THE SEASON AFTER BLOOD CLOTS FOUND IN LUNGS

Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback Jalen Hurts is likely out for the rest of the 2026 season based on the latest health update from the team and his agent, Nicole Lynn. Hurts, 28, was initially diagnosed with a superficial blood clot in his calf, but the current diagnosis is deep vein thrombosis as well as bilateral pulmonary emboli, which indicates blood clots were found in his lungs.

While the statement says the prognosis is “very good” and a full recovery is expected, Hurts is going on blood thinners and will not be able to play football until that treatment plan is complete. That’s why it’s unlikely Hurts will return during the 2026 season.
