FORMER JETBLUE CEO HAYES WILL LEAD AIRBUS IN NORTH AMERICA




Former JetBlue Airways CEO Robin Hayes has been appointed as the new head of Airbus' operations in North America, succeeding C. Jeffrey Knittel who is retiring as chairman and CEO of Airbus Americas effective June 3. Hayes will assume the role after stepping down from his position at JetBlue in February, following nine years as CEO.

In his new role, Hayes will lead Airbus' commercial aircraft business in North America, which is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia. Additionally, he will be responsible for coordinating activities among the company’s helicopters, space, and defense businesses in the Americas.
