HONDA WILL LAUNCH NEXT-GENERATION EVS IN CHINA BY 2027

Honda Motor, a prominent Japanese automaker, has announced its plans to introduce six next-generation electric vehicle (EV) models under the Ye brand in China by 2027. Additionally, the company aims to launch a total of 10 Honda-branded EV models in China by the same year, as part of its efforts to ensure that EVs constitute 100% of its automobile sales in the country by 2035.

The announcement comes as Honda endeavors to catch up with its European and U.S. counterparts, such as General Motors and Volkswagen, which have been more aggressive in ramping up EV sales. Facing mounting competition from Chinese EV manufacturers, Honda, along with rival Nissan Motor, revealed last month that they are exploring a potential partnership concerning key components and software. Earlier in January, Honda unveiled its "Honda 0 Series" EVs along with two concept models at the CES trade show held in Las Vegas, signaling its commitment to advancing in the EV market.
