IT'S SO COLD AND SNOWY IN Alaska THAT FUEL OIL IS THICKENING AND ROOFS ARE COLLAPSING

Alaska is currently experiencing a severe cold snap, with temperatures plunging well below zero across much of the state. Anchorage, in particular, has encountered some of its coldest temperatures in years, prompting the mayor to open warming facilities for individuals who are homeless or lack reliable heating.
Meanwhile, in the state capital of Juneau, located further south, heavy snowfall has blanketed streets and rooftops as part of a two-day storm. This storm contributed to setting a new January snowfall record of 6.4 feet (2 meters) for the city. Juneau, nestled in a relatively temperate rainforest, had previously endured back-to-back storms earlier in the month.
