KEY 49ERS DEFENDER RETURNS TO PRACTICE AHEAD OF WEEK 5 GAME VS. SEAHAWK

Nickel defender Upton Stout returned to the 49ers' practice field on Thursday.
Stout, who suffered a shoulder injury in San Francisco's Week 4 win over the Denver Broncos, wore a blue non-contact jersey during the early open portion of practice. This indicates that the second-year defensive back could be ready to return to the field when the 49ers face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Lumen Field.
Also on the defensive side of the ball, Mykel Williams continued to make his way back from his 2025 season-ending knee injury. The sophomore lineman is set to make his 2026 NFL season debut on Sunday. Nick Bosa also was seen on the side field at the start of practice. Coach Kyle Shanahan shared Wednesday that the All-Pro is not expected to return to practice this week due to a calf injury that occurred during warmups two weeks ago.
