MARKETS SNAP FIVE-DAY RALLY
On Friday, both the Sensex and Nifty faced selling pressure, ending a five-day rally. Investors reduced exposure to banking, financial, and consumer durable stocks amidst mixed global market trends. Rising global crude prices, a depreciating rupee, and ongoing foreign fund outflows added to the negative sentiment.
The BSE Sensex fell by 609.28 points or 0.82%, closing at 73,730.16. Throughout the day, it dropped by 722.79 points or 0.97% to 73,616.65. Similarly, the NSE Nifty decreased by 150.40 points or 0.67%, settling at 22,419.95.
