ONION PRICE DROPS AT MANDIS AFTER GOVT FIXES MEP
NEWS Desk Global

The wholesale mandi prices of onion have declined marginally following the imposition of the minimum export price (MEP) of $800 per tonne on Saturday. In Delhi's Azadpur, which is Asia's largest wholesale market for fruits and vegetables, the prices fell to Rs 45-50 per kg on Monday from Rs 55-60 per kg a few days ago. However, it will take some time for the impact to reach the retail market.
