Oppo has announced that it will make AI available on smartphones across all price points by the end of 2024. The company established an AI R&D Center in Shenzhen in February to develop proprietary AI technologies and is partnering with tech giants like Google, Microsoft, MediaTek and Qualcomm for AI features on devices.
Oppo says that its AI Center focuses on core areas like image processing, computer vision, and natural language processing. It emphasises user data privacy and says that it does not use user data for training AI models. The company utilises third-party certifications, end-to-end encryption, and confidential computing to secure user data.
