PATRIOTS HAVE DISCUSSED DEEBO SAMUEL TRADE WITH 49ERS
The New England Patriots have reportedly engaged in preliminary trade discussions with the San Francisco 49ers regarding wide receiver Deebo Samuel ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft. While no deal appears imminent, the Patriots' interest in Samuel is noteworthy given their search for a wide receiver. The Patriots are actively looking to bolster their wide receiver corps, with Samuel's teammate Brandon Aiyuk also considered a potential trade target. However, with the 49ers potentially viewing Aiyuk as part of their future plans and the addition of Ricky Pearsall in the draft, Samuel could become expendable.
The 49ers are reportedly seeking second- and third-round picks in exchange for Samuel, and a trade could materialize either before the start of the second round of the draft or when a trade partner is on the clock.
