With the high winds, low humidity and elevated fire risk, PG&E had turn off power to some parts of the Bay Area with “Public Safety Power Shutoffs” on Sunday. A couple of hundred people in Contra Costa County were impacted, according to fire officials.
One of those impacted areas is Camino Tassajara just outside Danville. Power went out on a stretch of the road at around 1 p.m., after PG&E said it was going to cut power to help prevent wildfires.
